New Link Created for Filing Ordinary Matters in the Delhi High Court

The High Court of Delhi issued a new office order on May 8, 2020, in view of the on-going lockdown. The order intimated all the Advocates and litigants about the creation of a new link. The advocates and litigants stand advised to file the non-urgent matter, in essence, the ordinary matters, on the new link. They can file fresh as well as the pending matters on the new link. All the matters filled on this link will be taken up for scrutiny after the lockdown is lifted. The advocates and litigants will be informed in person after the matter is taken for scrutiny. Moreover, information with regard to the objections will also be communicated.

The e-filling for this purpose can also be done by the Advocates and litigants. In effect, the practice will be adopted in the Delhi High Court as well as the Delhi District Courts. To list, some of the district courts cited in the order are Tis Hazari, Karkardooma, Patiala House, Rohini, Dwarka, Saket, and Rouse Avenue. Furthermore, free of cost scanning facility will be available at the designated counters. Notably, the Delhi High Court also created a link to fill the urgent matters on April 4, 2020. The High Court has issued guidelines for the same.
